Hamburger Garden Soup

• Serves: 5

ingredients

• 1 lb ground beef
• 1 cup onion, chopped
• 1 garlic clove, mince
• 1 tomatoes, chopped or (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
• 2 cups corn or 2 cups frozen corn
• 2 cups water
• 3 tablespoons fresh parsley or 1 tablespoon dried parsley
• 2 tablespoons fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil
• 2 tablespoons fresh thyme or 2 teaspoons dried thyme
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, minced or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper

directions

1. in a large saucepan, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, drain.
2. add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil.
3. reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes or until heated through.

We had this great soup last night. So easy to do and very, very tasty. My only addition was a diced zucchini and my herbs were fresh from my garden. Made for Holiday Tag.
