  1. I wanted to try something different for breakfast. So I found this recipe posted by CharlotteJ. The only 2 additions that I made was the peppers and I replaced the cheese with Velveeta with a Colby and Monterey jack cheese blend.<br/>Thanks for posting.

  2. I used frozen hash browns with green peppers, and browned them before putting them in the pan. 3/4 of the family liked it very much. There's really no hope for the five-year-old, so his opinion was not tendered. I think that I'll increase the amount of "sauce" in the future, the dish was rather dry. (That might be due to my pre-cooking of the fozen taters) but tasty nonetheless.

  3. Great recipe. I added onions to the potatoes and garlic to the meat. Next time I am going to brown the potatoes a little before I complete the recipe. But I was terrific. I love the worcstershire mix added to the beef. Wonderful flavor

  4. This was very similar to tater tot casserole. While I am not overly fond of these kinds of dishes, my husband loves them. I did use frozen (defrosted) hashbrowns with onions and peppers included, and subbed shredded cheddar for the velveeta. I think that without the added veggies in the hashbrowns, this would have been very blah. I also had thought that the hashbrowns might be toastier, but were instead were a little mushy. Maybe the potatoes should be on top?

  5. Best laid plans...you think you are making it for 2 and you have 5 to feed! I tripled this, used a 2 pound pkg of frozen hash browns, thawed, 1.5 pounds of burger, 3 eggs and sliced velveeta and some shredded cheddar. Baked in a 9x13 pan, everyone thought it was a great change of pace. DS ate 3 helpings! Thanks Charlotte!
