Ham & Cheese & Onion Mashed Potatoes

ingredients

• 2 cups mashed potatoes
• 1 small onion
• 3⁄4 teaspoon garlic salt
• 1 cup cooked ham
• 1 cup cheddar cheese
• 1⁄2 cup whipping cream, whipped

directions

1. Add your onion to the mash potatoes. In bowl add mash potatoes, garlic salt. Spread into greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish; add the diced ham.
2. Fold cheese into whipped cream, spoon over ham.
3. Bake uncovered at 400°F for 15 minutes or golden brown.

I scaled back for 3 though had a little more than 1 cup of mashed potato but we all thoroughly enjoyed this delicious mash. I did caramelise my onions before adding to the mash potato and the beauty of this was I was able to make it up in the morning and pop it in oven (175C fan forced) and 20 minutes later all ready to go. Thank you sheila, made for Bargain Basement tag game.
