with ham mushroom and broccoli, there's too much stuff and the liquid spills over. maybe i'm not using a deep enough pie crust....

Needed to use up some left-over Christmas ham....and added benefit - I also had broccoli in the refrigerator that I'd forgotten about and I needed to use that up as well. I love mushrooms - had to make a trip to buy those. Very simple. DH & I ate 1/2 of it at one sitting - and we're not big eaters. I made it just as the recipe is written. Will make again. Thanks.

super simple with a nice flavor. Like some other reviewers, I added an extra egg. I also reduced the milk to 3/4c to avoid any "watery" issues. One could easily swap spinach for broccoli, add bacon, and get creative with cheeses. The process will be the same. Will definitely make this one again.

Really enjoyed this recipe! Word for the wise....never try to substitute liquid coffee mate for milk in quiche! It still tasted good though! :-)

I thought it was great!!! I added some leftover bacon that I had cooked this morning. I didn't have fresh mushrooms so I used canned. No swiss so I used mozzarella. I did add another egg and more parmesean on top. I will be trying this with spinich instead of broccoli next time.... just cause I love spinich!

I really like this quiche!! The flavor was really great. I didn't have leftover or fresh broccoli, so I used the frozen broccoli that you steam in the bag in your microwave. It turned out great. However, it definately took longer than 40 minutes to back this quiche. I will definately make this again.

The family liked it, there was nothing left. I thought it was just ok. I did take everyone's advice and used extra cheese and added an egg.

I made it as directed with one extra egg and no mushrooms. I didn't have any problems with it being watery. I thought it really needed more cheese though. My family really liked it, so I'd make it again, next time with more cheese.

I made this for dinner last night. It was a huge hit and I absolutely loved it. I had leftover ham from the day before and I wanted to use some of it up. I made just a couple of small changes. I used a mix of mozzarella and cheddar for the cheese. I also added chopped onion so I fried the mushrooms and garlic with onion and the fresh broccoli. I didn't have any nutmeg so that was left out. I had 2 pie crusts in the freezer so I made 2 quiches. I'm glad I did. One's in the freezer now ready to be reheated for a quick dinner. This was my first time making quiche and definitely not my last. Thanks for posting.

This was very delicious and easy to make on a worknight! It did need to be cooked longer than instructed. Mine was watery which I attributed to using 1% milk and the substitution of 2 eggs w/ egg beaters. But now that I've read the other reviews I think I use a little less milk next time and cook it longer. But it was delicious and my husband didn't even notice that I'd lightened it up a bit. I will definitely make this again.

This is a great way to use up leftovers! I was leery of the "watery" reviews so I only added 1/2 cup of milk. The center wasn't cooked after 40 minutes at 350 so I cooked it an extra 10 minutes at 400 and that made it nice and brown, not watery at all. I added some minced onion to it too. Thanks!

My whole family loved this quiche! I have 1 year old twins who refuse to eat broccoli but even they ate it up. I did leave out the mushrooms due to my husband's allergy. I did also have a bit of a problem with it being watery but it set up well after about 30 minutes of "resting" and it was even better the next day. 5 stars!

Wow, we really enjoyed this recipe tonight for dinner. I had leftover ham and broccoli from Christmas to use up. I did use 4 eggs, and cooked it for 60 minutes. It was wonderful! I will be using this recipe again.

I'm not going to rate this yet because I'm not sure of the reason it didn't come out right. I just bought a Pampered Chef stoneware deep dish pie plate, and used it for the first time on this recipe. The quiche took me 2 hours to cook and still came out very watery, I had to drain it. But it might be becuase the pie pan is not seasoned yet. The other problem was it didn't "stick" together, the ham cubes were falling out causing the pie to fall apart. Now this may be because they needed to be drained, or dried off. As for flavor it was yummy. So after seasoning my pie plate and drying off the ham I will try this again. Thanks!

I just realized I hadn't reviewed this recipe that has become a favourite in my home. This recipe is FOOL-PROOF! I make revisions with the cheese and meat and vegetables. (depending on what I have on hand) One of my prefered additions is to add fresh parsley and cayenne to the egg mixture before I pour it on and top with chives before I bake.

Sign in or create an accountMy whole family gave this a "10" so I will definitely make this again. I had to omit the mushrooms because the kids won't eat them. I used bacon in place of the ham and used 4 eggs. I also pre-cooked the pie shell a few minutes. Wow this is a keeper. I will submit a picture. Thanks.

Flavor was good but I prefer a more custard style quiche. I didn't like the chopped pieces of ham, they should have been minced not chopped. I didn't like feeling the pieces on my tounge..quiche should not be chunky.

Excellent flavor! I substituted frozen spinach for the broccoli and used Monterey Jack for the Swiss cheese, as these were what I had – otherwise did exactly as recipe stated. I will definitely make this again. Thanks so much Jodi! Sherry J.
