This was YUMMY! I used several different kinds of cheeses (cheddar, Monterrey Jack, Swiss, and some Velveeta to make it extra creamy.) I like a crunchy topping, so I put it in a greased casserole and topped it with buttery cracker crumbs and baked it for about 15 minutes. My husband and I LOVED the flavors! Fantastic recipe!

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter and saute the onions for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the flour until well blended. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the milk; stir well.
  5. Add in the cheeses, mustard, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  6. Continue to cook and stir until smooth, hot and thickened.
  7. Stir in the ham, peas and cooked/drained macaroni.
  8. Stir well until heated through.
  9. Serve.
