Just ok - VERY sweet - but not outstanding. The orange color was not very pronounced after baking- probably my fault - so use a LOT of food coloring.

What a neat recipe! It's already a favorite one since I've made it three times! These taste great, like an "elevated brownie" with a cookie base. I rolled out my dough for the top (in a ziplock freezer bag) and placed it on top, covering the entire top. It reminded me of fondant. Thanks Hotmitts, for a recipe I will make often. Roxygirl

Much too sweet. I guess it would be OK if you like sickeningly sweet desserts, but after tasting 2 bites of it, I threw the entire recipe out. Even my son, who is a lifelong chocoholic, said it was only "OK", but too sweet. Also, the chocolate doesn't set enough as to where you are able to cut clean slices. Rather, when you cut a slice, it sags as you try to eat it.

YUM-YUM FUN!!! Made for PAC, Fall'07...in time for Halloween happiness :) Sweet, "chocolaty" and a bit decadent... just the way I like Halloween Celebrations to be :) I love the idea of the food coloring as a once in a while added visual treat!! It make the treat even more tricky!!! I made my bottom layer orange and topped it with green "ghoulish" blobs!! Makes a ton of rich chocolate squares and I had to pry them away from my husband to freeze a bunch until Halloween Eve (He wouldn't LEAVE THEM ALONE {LOL} :) ) I will make these again and plan to try white chocolate chips and maybe "dye" all 3 layers...I will do them for CHRISTMAS FUN ALSO - THANKS for a cute, creative and yummy recipe!
