This is a lower sodium copycat recipe for Lawry's Seasoned Salt. ** servings size is about 1/4 teaspoon
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
- Pour the blend into an empty spice bottle to store.
This is a really nice seasoned salt. I used this in Deconstructed Jalapeno Poppers Balls and can't wait to use it in other recipes. Thanks for sharing. Made for Spring PAC 2013.
Before attempting this again, I'll figure out what seasonings, that will work for me, to make it more flavorful or lot better for me to do! Anyway, excellent to do a SCRATCH on recipes. The more I play with my food, the more I love to cooking to make a recipe that will work for me, that is!! Than I can do the happy food dance!! THANK YOU!!
This is a terrific seasoning salt mixture. Mine smells a lot like the curry, but the curry I use is always made fresh by a coworker! The flavour is great and all of the seasonings, etc. blend together really well. Made for Pick A Chef 2011 for my adopted chef, StarOfWhiteLight. Thanks! :)
