      This is an excellent recipe. The directions are really great, my first time doing a "custard" ice cream. Flying colors! In place of Guinness, I used Youngs Double Chocolate Stout. I also subbed salted roasted peanuts instead of almonds. DH really loved it, super creamy and delicious. I think next time I will use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. Thanks for posting, and for your excellent directions and notes.
