- 1 ripe banana
- 236.59 ml strawberry
- 236.59 ml skim milk
- 4.92 ml vanilla extract
- 6 ice cubes
- honey (optional) or Equal sugar substitute (optional) or Splenda sugar substitute (optional)
- Put all ingredients in blender. Add more skim milk if you desire thinner consistency. Blenderize until smooth.
While this is technically a beverage it does make a nice guilt-free dessert after a heavy meal. I used almond milk, frozen banana and honey. DH and I enjoyed a double serving. It was very refreshing on a hot southwestern day. Made for ZWT.
This worked out great. I used a frozen banana because I had some to use up and a packet of stevia for sweetening. The result was a creamy, frothy smoothie much like I used to get at a stand called Frullati--but they charged $4 for theirs. It truly is a guilt-free treat, as well as easy and healthy.
A guilt free healthy dessert! I made this healthier using flax, chia and hemp seeds. Making this drink an omega 3 powerhouse. Omega 3 has lots of protein and fiber and is an essential fatty acid critical for heart health, brain development, reducing inflammation and joint pain, managing depression, preventing dry eyes, lowering cholesterol, controlling high blood pressure, protecting bone health........ I also added coconut oil good for brain health and so much more. I did used frozen strawberries and kefir milk. Make for ZWT #8 the Aztec Challenge. Gracia's!
