Very good guacamole! My onions were enormous, so I just chopped up ~1/4 of one for this, and I used one giant clove of garlic and one giant tomato from the landlord's garden (all my produce was huge this week, lol). This is pretty similar to the way I usually make my guacamole, except for the garlic, which was a nice change of pace. DH really enjoyed this, so I'm sure I'll be making this again. Excellent guacamole. Just the way we like it. Wouldn't change a thing. Made for ZWT 8.
This is excellent. I used a red jalapeno, and I think that might have been a mistake, because my husband said he couldn't taste it. We both loved this, though. Thanks for posting! Made for the Lively Lemon Lovelies, ZWT8.
Super easy and tasted delicious. Reviewed for ZWT8. Photo also to be posted
I love guacamole. I've made it for years. My recipe however does not contain garlic like this one - and I have been missing out! I absolutely loved the garlic addition and this recipe has perfect amounts of each item for great flavor in every bite. Thanks for enlightening me, Rita! Made for ZWT 7.
Very tasty! Easy to prepare and full of vivid color from the tomatoes. Just the right amount of each ingredient. Makes a lot of dip.
I had cooked for a large crowd for the weekend. I made Yog's Tasty Buns and served several spreads such as hummos and vegetarian liver to go with it. I made this as well because I had a couple of ripe avacados and I wanted something with a little color and last because my husband believes that avacado helps lower his too high cholesterol. The only change I made was that I hate cilantro so i left it out, but otherwise it was perfect. I will add this to our regular menu.
This is great guac! I used a couple of extra cloves of garlic (I adore the stuff), but otherwise followed the recipe as stated. I let it sit for a couple of hours to let the flavours mellow, and it was perfect. Thanks!
Lovely guacamole, with just the right amount of kick. I scaled the recipe down to 1 cup, so I used one avocado, about 1/3 cup of onion and smaller amounts of everything else. This is similar to how I learned to make guacamole in Texas a few years ago. I loved the freshness of the tomato (great with ones fresh from the garden). We served this with chips and quesadillas. This was a hit for our appetizer tonight. Even my DD who doesn't like onions liked it. Made for ZWT8.
