This is a foolproof recipe; however, if your jalapeños aren't fresh, it won't be as hot as we like it. Do not use a blender for this recipe.


  1. Combine the first 4 ingredients with a potato masher.
  2. Leave some lumps.
  3. Using a fork, stir in the minced scallions and jalapeño.
  4. Lastly, salt and pepper to your taste.
