Questions & Replies

 1. For nutrition is the amount you show for only the Stroganoff "sauce" without the egg noodles or are you including the sauce and the egg noodles together? My family is divided the meaning of one (1) serving. Thank you Oh, by the way very simple to make and taste really Good!

 1. This was such an easy recipe that tasted great! One change I did was to just add a few sautéed mushrooms right on top. It added a bit more texture and acted as a nice garnish. Great recipe!

 2. This was a hit at my house! I am personally not much of a stroganoff fan, but my guys loved it. I omitted the mushrooms (husband hates them - philistine!) and used four cloves of fresh garlic instead of the garlic powder (only do this if you REALLY like garlic like we do!) and stirred the minced garlic into the turkey/onion along with the peas to sizzle for a minute before adding the milk and soup. I didn't try to fat-free or low fat anything; as a matter of fact I was out of milk so I used half & half. It was quite tasty and super easy to make, and since ground turkey is still cheap in my area it was wallet-friendly, too. I'll definitely make this again! Thank you!

 3. I used ingredients in my refrigerator so change this recipe a bit. I used Half and half which needed to be used and left off the can of mushroom soup. Also used truffle salt ... Oh my goodness delicious. Used much more mushrooms than called for but you can never have too many mushrooms right? Absolutely delicious ??

 4. Loved it!! I only added 1/2 cup sour cream .

 5. This was exactly what the husband and I were looking for! We jazzed it up a bit, though. We're not milk drinkers so we thinned out the soup with chicken stock. We sauteed fresh garlic with the onions and turkey and deglazed the pan with some red wine. And as if that didn't kick it up enough, we also added chrushed red pepper after the soup. Then to lighten it up a bit we used plain greek yogurt and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!

 2. Added some tapatio and it was super tasty. When plating, I topped with some chopped cabbage and green onion. Delicious!

 4. This was so fast and so easy! It was yummy too. My toddler is so picky, yet she cleaned her plate with this one. I omitted the mushrooms, and used plain yogurt instead of sour cream and it came out perfectly.

 5. Made this tonight, used non-fat sour cream as noted by another, and green beans instead of peas, as that was what I had on hand. Hubby & 12 yo had 2nd helpings, 6 yo took a long time with her 1/2 helping. Overall, it seemed to go over pretty well, but needs more spice...maybe minced garlic and something else?

My rating system: (I don't like giving bad reviews, so if I don't like it, I'll just not review it.)

5 Stars OMG, this is one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten! I can't stop eating it, and I've eaten myself into a food coma.

4 Stars The recipe is wonderful as is. I can't think of a single improvement and I will most likely make it again.

3 Stars This needed a little *something*something*. I might make it again, but will add my own improvements if I do.

I love to eat! And I love to cook. I tend to take over the kitchen when I get in there. Even the dog knows the command get outta my kitchen! LOL. Cooking for other people and trying new recipes or foods is FUN! I have a small (but growing quickly!!) cookbook collection and one of my favorite things to do is to read recipes and plan meals. Rachael Ray, Horn of the Moon and Moosewood are favorites of mine.

We spend a lot of time outdoors camping, hiking and backpacking. Yup. I cook in the woods too! I've made deals with my hiking buddies... If they carry in my food, I'll cook for them. I recently published a backpacking cookbook.
