Great recipe! Quick and easy, but the best part was that the family loved it!! I made the recipe as is and couldn't have asked for it to be any better!!
This was good and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written but mine didn't get as thick as the picture showed (which was what I was looking for). It still tasted good but we thought it needed more seasoning. I added salt and pepper.
Good recipe. I also added celery, cabbage, and peas. My husband love cabbage and celery in almost everything. I sometimes add rice as well.
The whole family loved this recipe! I wanted to make it a one-pot meal so I browned and drained the beef first, and then added everything else to the same pot. Near the end of cooking time I made some fluffy dumplings with Fluffy Dumplings (using gluten-free flour for us) and the end result was total comfort food that everyone really enjoyed! Thanks for sharing your recipe, Tinamama! We'll be making it again! Made & enjoyed for Spring 2011 Pick A Chef!
I LOVE this soup!!! So easy to make. My husband LOVES this too, and he's not the one to like soup. Thanks!!!
Very easy and tasty!
This was very good! I did add celery simply because I had some that needed to be used up. I didn't have beef bouillion, but had beef stock, so used that and used less water. Of course, I added salt and pepper and hot sauce since I add those ingredients to all my recipes! Will definately make this again! Thanks!
When a search for ground sausage soup turned up no results that looked tempting today, I changed my criteria to ground beef. Needless to say, instead of the ground beef I used sausage - with most excellent results. But......after a few tastes I decided "more" was needed so I added a can of diced tomatoes, then a bag of frozen mixed vegetables......then some cooked macaroni. Naturally I had to add some more water and let it simmer a bit longer. It turned out to be a delicious "stewy" type of soup that when hot garlic bread was added, will be a family favorite. Thank you so much for the great recipe.
Thank you Tinkerbell for making the Fluffy Dumpling suggestion--and especially for noting that you made it gluten-free. I used it too, and it was delicious!
This recipe looked like a great stew, but bland. I added Mrs. Dash, savory, oregano, marjoram, coriander and salt and pepper--in addition to the optional garlic! Quite satisfactory!
