Yum! It actually reminded me of pizza in some ways. I omitted the cheese slices and added extra fresh mushrooms. I also didn't put parmesan cheese in my bisquick mix (and couldn't taste the shredded cheddar, so I'll probably leave that out next time. There will definately be a next time!

  1. Combine bisquick, eggs, milk and seasonings; stir in Cheddar and Parmesan cheeses and mix well.
  2. Spread half of the mixture in a 13x9 inch baking pan; top with Ground Beef Sauce and American cheese.
  3. Spread remaining mixture on top; sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley.
  4. Bake at 325* for 20 minutes.
  5. Ground Beef Sauce:.
  6. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove and discard bay leaf.
