So great, so simple to put together, and this recipe really shows off the garden's gifts of tomatoes, basil, and the freshness of it all. I didn't change one thing, other then to add some nice thinly sliced green onion (scallions) - but would be so good without it too. Thanks Rita for another golden classic! Made for the Diabetic Forum Tailgate Party 2011
I've been trying recipe after recipe trying to find one that will make perfect bruschetta. This is it! I added a wee bit more balsamic, but that was my only change. Thank you for the compliments this garnered me after I whipped up a romantic, Italian dinner on the fly for my other half.
So Good!! Love this recipe! It's so easy to make and really delicious! It's perfect for entertaining. I could just keep eating and eating it!
So simple, so delicious! Used fresh plum tomatoes from my neighbor's garden and only brushed one side of the bread but this still came out very tasty. My teenage son asked for more!
Using fresh tomatoes from our local farmers' market, this was easy to prepare and very delicious. Served with Bread Machine / Abm Rustic Style Ciabatta. I think the bruschetta tastes best if it's had several hours to marinate. Reviewed for Veg Tag July.
I ate three slices of this, they were so good! Would happily eat more if I didn't have to save room for my fish tonight. (-; Rita, this is so scrumptious! Thanks so much for posting it. Just what I need today...a bit of crunch, a bit of freshness, a symphony of colors and tastes. YUM!! Made for PAC 2010.
Excellent!!! The only thing I did different was to add more onions and use dried basil because that was all I had. I liked this recipe because it was so simple and delicious.
Excellent bruschetta. Flavors were perfect, even without the fresh basil. Because of the weather, I skipped the grilling part and toasted slices of French Tart's Marianne Baguette - Traditional Rustic French Bread. Perfect for a light lunch. Thanks Rita
SO quick, easy to do, Did I mention tastes great too? Used glazed balsamic vinegar (dark and thick) in a zig zag pattern when placed on the plate! GREAT for entertaining...GREAT! Thanks!
This is exactly the same recipe that we used at my old work, for function groups. The patrons loved it, and so did I! :)
