  • Boil potatoes until tender but not too soft. (I cook mine in the microwave.).
  • In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Add potatoes; stir gently to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Drain, reserving marinade. Thread potatoes on metal or soaked wooden skewers. Grill, covered, over hot heat for 6-8 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown. Turn and brush occasionally with reserved marinade.

Questions & Replies

  1. I want to try this recipe so bad. However, I hate mayonnaise! What can I substitute in its place? Please help!

  1. These were okay. Don't expect potatoes to get softer once they're on the grill. Pre-cook them to DONE - they're only on the grill for a few mins.

  2. My family loved these potatoes. I didn't grill them but mixed the sauce and poured it over the potatoes. After marinating I roasted them in the oven until browned. This is a nice change for the ever flexible spud!

  3. Great flavor! I used white nugget potatoes, cooked them in the AM, marinated them all day in the fridge. Took a minute to skewer them and only about 10 minutes to reheat and brown them. I used Vermouth for the wine (it is actually a fortified wine). Great flavor - Marg I love this recipe Thanks for posting it

  4. Seriously? One of the best ever! Who would have thought mayo and white wine? I could eat these as a meal. I’ll make again and wouldn’t hesitate to make them in the oven. Thank you!

  5. These were excellent! Bought red potatoes in a microwave bag and nuked them for eight minuets so they were completely cooked before marinated. Grilled them till they had nice grill marks on them. Delicious and will make again as they are so easy and had great flavor.

Tweaks

  1. We really enjoyed these last night with our steaks. I used dried Italian seasoning in place of the rosemary and it added great flavor as I'm sure the rosemary would have. The light mayo worked well for this. I wll be making these again for sure. Thanks for sharing.
