A delicious appetizer for a dinner party or special treat for family. The fresh basil is what gives this a wonderful aroma. The shrimp could be substituted for cubes of lamb, chicken, or tuna. I adapted this recipe from a recipe I read in the newspaper several years ago.
- 1 lb raw shrimp
- 1⁄2 cup olive oil
- 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning (increased or decreased depending on heat desired)
- 1 bunch fresh basil
- 1⁄4-1⁄3 lb prosciutto, sliced thin
