This is best with very fresh, wild salmon. It's a spring-time tradition here in Olympia.

  1. Fire up your grill.
  2. Lay salmon on tin foil (enough foil to completely wrap fillet) Melt butter and pour it all over the salmon (alternatively, you can just cut it up but melting it will help it saturate the fish) Apply salt, garlic and onion to taste.
  3. Seal the salmon in the foil.
  4. Grill for about 15 minutes (depending on how hot your grill is), rotating after about 7 minutes.
  5. Enjoy!
  6. Serve with salad, bread, wine, beer, good music, whatever.

almost the same recipe i have used for years. i add lawry's salt. i also double wrap the salmon in aluminum foil and that keeps the fish from sticking and burning to one layer of foil. in fact, going to start the bbq now !!!!
