Place the potatoes in the microwave oven and cook on high for 4 minutes, until slightly soft. Let the potatoes cool for a few minutes, then cut in half. Place the potatoes in a plastic bag and drizzle with the olive oil and garlic, then sprinkle with the salt. Twist the bag to seal, allowing some of the air to remain in the bag. Toss gently to coat the potatoes evenly.

Remove the potatoes from the bag, place on the grill for 5 minutes. Turn the potatoes and continue to grill for 5 more minutes. Turn the potatoes again and grill for about 5 additional minutes on each side, until the potatoes are fork-tender and lightly browned.
Wow! Delicious potatoes! I didn't cook quite as long in either the microwave or over the grill, because I had small potatoes. But left the garlic and olive oil the same. Turned out to be absolutely delicious! Thanks boomie!

Absolutely wonderful potatoes! I did add a bit more garlic & the 2 of us managed to devour half of the batch with some BBQ shrimp & were most satisfied! Definitely a recipe worth making again! Thanks for sharing it! [Made & reviewed in Everyday Is a Holiday recipe tag]

Excellent potatoes! I might add more garlic next time, but other than that, these were tasty and easy! I used a grill basket and just gave them a shake now and then, until they were browned.
