Buttery and "ranchy"! You can sprinkle cheese over the bread before "grilling"; barbecued chicken makes a yummy sandwich partner here!
Ingredients:
-
½ cup
butter
, softened
-
1 (1 ounce) packet
dry ranch dressing mix
(Hidden Valley is good)
-
2 loaves French bread or 2 loaves
Italian bread
, cut in half lengthwise
(1 pound each)
Directions:
1
Cream the butter with the dressing mix; spread evenly on the bread halves.
2
Place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, until golden and the butter begins to seep and bubble.
3
Serve hot.

My family loves this. This is one of our favorites breads. This is even good with Spaghetti.

I used the whole loaf, and the ranch mix is very salty. Next time I'll check to see if there is a low-sodium mix or try to make my own.
