These made really juicy burgers. I used vegenaise which gave the mayo a nice sweet taste. We also grilled up the onions and some tomatoes and added them to the sandwich. I wish I had a picture of my 5 year old who was wearing mushroom juice all over her face and hands. Will definitely make these again.

I really enjoy the meatiness of portabella burgers and these were good. I used red wine vinegar in place of the cider vinegar and it turned out well. Easy to make, great for BBQs.

Delicious mushroom burger served on a potato bun. Loved the basil faux mayonnaise too. Thanks for posting. I also sauteed the onions in olive oil. Made for the Spring 2009 PAC event.
