Amazing recipe! Delicious! Be careful not to reduce the sauce too long...it will stick to your teeth! It is wonderful without the sauce anyway!

I've had this recipe in my cookbook forever, finally got around to making it. I was too impatient to wait long for the pineapple, so it only sat in the fridge for a couple of hours. DH apparently used the last of the rum without me knowing, so that didn't go in, I used orange juice instead and tossed a sliced banana in just long enough to heat through before serving over frozen vanilla yogurt. Absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to try it again following the directions! Thanks for posting!

MMMMMMM GOOOOOOD! This was really good and really easy. Served it over vanilla ice cream and the textures and temperatures were an amazing combination. However, I do want to caution future cooks not to over-reduce the sauce. If you do, it will turn to carmel when you pour it on the ice cream and stick to your teeth. So reduce the sauce for just 10-15 minutes. If you want to see what will happen when it hits the ice cream, test a little dribble on an ice cube. Flavor-wise, this one can't be beat!!!

This was an amazing dessert. I let the pineapple macerate for three days and as I grilled it, the entire patio filled up with a mouth watering smell. I plan to use this dessert for my next dinner party. Thanks for the great recipe Charlie.
