Hubby is rating this....he said it was too sweet with the sugar...he would have rather just had the spicy. Next time we would lower the sugar some.

FANTASTIC!FANTASTIC!FANTASTIC! I followed the recipe exactly. I halved everything since there was just two of us and steaks. It's a nice change from the usual steak. I think it would be a great recipe for dinner guests. I'll be making it again;) Thanks Karen!

Question: How large is a sirloin serving? I usually only make two 3 or 4 ounce steaks and even half of these spices and sugar seems like way too much.

Great recipe; the tricky part is finding a steak that really meets expectations! Sometimes it is wonderful, other times it disappoints, but you just never can tell. I always mistrust that some tenderizer I don't want in my food may have been used.

Very spicy, but good. The butter does help to mellow out the pepper. I cooked my steaks to medium-rare, but the meat stayed very pink - I wonder if it has to do with the crust? Anyway, we really enjoyed these steaks with potatoes and salads.

This is a wonderful recipe. Very easy to make. My daughter and I found it mildly spicy, however my wife and son, who have no tolerance for spicy heat, found it way to spicy. I used dark brown sugar for the rub. The butter added a wonderful flavor. We served it with Sweet Patato Chips, baked in the oven, fresh corn off the cob and gluten free bread.

YUMMO! This dish is very tasty and the butter sauce is wonderful! We have a Friday night ritual at our house of steak, french fries & a movie. This will definetely be added as a Friday night favorite!
