This easy, yummy dish was a recipe I found in the Weber cookbook that came with my grill.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Rinse chicken and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Brush chicken breasts with lime juice, sprinkle with salt, pepper and crushed red pepper.
  3. Rub into surface and let sit 5 minutes.
  4. Place chicken on grill over medium coals.
  5. Grill 8 to 10 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink, turning once halfway through cooking time.
  6. While chicken is grilling, mix together mayonnaise and dried herbs.
  7. Remove chicken breasts from grill and thinly slice.
  8. Slit pitas and spread mayonnaise mixture on the inside.
  9. Fill each half with equal amounts of lettuce, tomato and sliced chicken.

This made for a WONDERFUL lunch! Thank you for sharing! I didnt have mrs. dash, so I used a combination of the following herbs/spices: dried parsley, pepper, celery salt, basil, marjoram, cayenne pepper, oregano, cumin, mustard powder, onion powder, and garlic powder...and I love this spice mix! lol. The chicken is absolutely delicious. Unfortunately I wasnt able to get to the store to buy the red pepper I ran out, so I used a bit of cayenne in its place... :-) WONDERFUL! Thanks for the recipe!!!

What an absolute perfect dinner this was for a warm summer night. All 5 of my kids loved the flavor of the lime grilled chicken. The green leaf lettuce and red sliced tomatoes made this dish look & taste beautiful. The mayo & Mrs. Dash combonation was INCREDIBLE! I never thought of pairing those 2 together. Thank you so much for this recipe. It was so good I'm making it next week. You made my family, myself & my Hubby happy. Thanks again Hey Jude!
