This recipe is from my friend Katie I asked around for ways to cook brussels sprouts on the grill. She came back with the great way to roast these savory veggies. It's a quick easy recipe.
- 1 lb Brussels sprout
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons thyme (or Dill weed works too)
- Skewer the sprouts
- drizzle with the Olive Oil
- liberally cover the sprouts with thyme.
- Grill until outside leaves are dark brown.
Your friend Katie says this recipe works very well in a 400 degree oven, as well. Make it a meal by adding carrots, chunks of potatoes, pearl onions, and sprinkling feta cheese over it all once it's cooked.
The Brussels Sprout lover in the house couldn't stop raving about these. And even the hater (me) liked them. I used the thyme. Made for Spring 2014 PAC.
These were very easy to prepare...I used the thyme...they did need some salt to bring the true flavor out...I roasted my in the oven along with another dish...next time I will try the dill weed...made for Spring 2014 PAC...=)
