Fantastic flavor! I put the leftover marinade in a small pan over the stove and reduced to a sauce to drizzle over the asparagus just before serving. Thanks for sharing!
Made exactly as described and it was tasty and easy. I would probably marinate longer than listed and/or reduce the leftover marinade as another post mentioned and/or put some parmesan cheese on it. It was good though as it was. Thanks for sharing.
A very good side dish for the grill! I let this marinade for a couple hours, as I was letting some chicken marinate (a different recipe) at the same time. I will be making this again, and again. :)
I prepared this recipe for my book group (doubled the ingredients) and forgot to put in the lemon juice. They all asked for the recipe, so with or without lemon juice, it's a hit. Very easy to prepare. I supplemented the asparagus with fresh green beans and roasted the whole concoction for the same length of time. You can freeze the marinade in the gallon-sized freezer bags I used this time in order to marinate other vegetables at a later date.
Fabulous, and very pretty in presentation. I tripeled this recipe and used a grill basket to contain the asparagus and flip all at once on the grill. I also cut the ends off lemons and then cut them in half, brushed with canola oil and placed on grill near the basket, grilling just until marked. I placed the asparagus in the center of a platter and the grilled lemons all around for squeezing and it was a big hit.
We had this for our Christmas feast, as a side dish to a lamb roast. We broiled it, as it was a bit too cold to fire up the grill. Everyone agreed it was the best of the vegetable side dishes, of which we had several.
Super simple and tastes great too. Needs at least one hour of marinating to get the full flavor.
I just tried this recipe and I will definetely be using it again. I was very easy to put together and I actually had all the ingredients on hand which made it even better!!
My husband made this recipe, and it is delicious!!! We added parmesan cheese and they were great!
