Yum! What a great tasting hot dog. I must admit that I had a little trouble keeping everything inside of the dog while it was grilling, lol. It was pouring rain outside so used my stove-top grill pan (used alot in the Seattle area!). My bacon didn't quite hold all of the stuffing inside but even so, the taste was great. Next time I would probably use a little more bacon to make sure that all of the stuffing stayed in, or maybe just pile sauerkraut on top when it's done! lol. Oh - and I used Monterey Jack cheese since the only cheddar I had on hand was greated. Thanks GailAnn for a nice meal yet again. Made for Everyday is a Holiday Tag.

My Husband and I LOVED this recipe !! We changed it a bit though. We didn't use all the other ingredients just hot dogs, cheese and bacon. It was DELICIOUS !!! Some of the cheese oozed out and browned Yummy ! Thank you for the recipe !

Gee, hotdogs for grown-ups! And delicious as well! As gailann suggested, be sure to cover the cheese well with the sauerkraut.....very messy if you don't! Will be sure to have these again. Thnx for sharing the recipe, gailann.

A nice change from a plain old hot dog. If I make again, I would do a better job of covering the ends- all of my cheese melted out! I used green peppers instead of onions, which was pretty tasty. The hot dog ended up cooking a lot quicker than the bacon, so I had slightly burned hot dogs. Overall, pretty good.
