directions

  • Combine butter and spices, add shrimp, stirring to coat the shrimp. Let shrimp marinate for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Slice bacon in half and cook over medium high heat to render out some fat, keeping bacon flexible. Drain the bacon and pat grease out with a paper towel.
  • Wrap each piece of shrimp with a piece of bacon. Slide on to skewers. If you use wooden skewers, the skewers need to be soaked in water for about 15 minute in water or use metal ones.
  • Grill on a hot grill until shrimp are opaque. Use remainder of marinade when turning the shrimp.

  1. I made this for an office lunch BBQ. This one was my favorite out of the four styles of shrimp that I made. Everything is better with bacon.

  2. We will be having this again, ... & again...! Delicious! I pre cooked the bacon as stated, but it still didn't get brown enough before the shrimp were done, despite my 500 degree grill. The flavor was wonderful though! We ate it as a meal with rice & green beans. This one's a keeper! Thank you

  5. If I could give this more stars I would!!!! I made these for my DH's 30th birthday party and they were devoured. I think I only got to eat 1 myself. I had never cooked shrimp before but the recipe was simple and my DH grilled it for us.

  1. Excellent! I used olive oil instead of butter, fresh garlic and was out of cayenne, but these were still super! Thanks!

I live in Michigan. I work as an accountant and software engineer. My favorite cookbook is Betty Crockers New Cookbook and an old one by Hallmark called holiday cooking. I love to eat as much as I love to cook. However, I have become decidely a better nutritional cook than before. I don't just cook to eat. I cook to eat delicious "healthy" meals. I am also an exercise addict, to help combat when I do eat a dish full of cream and cheese. Well not the cheese because I am alergic to that as well as the cream! So I take a lot of great recipes on Zaar and doctor them up to meet my healthy standard. One of these days I should make them public, but... thats a lot of work.
