Wonderful simple instructions! We put some oil and salt in a bag and shook. To keep the asparagus from fallying through the grates, we just laid down a sheet of aluminum foil under them. Cooking time was about 8 minutes on medium on the gas grill.
I heated some balsamic vinegar with a little sea salt and drizzeled over the asparagus after grilling.
We used one of the foil pans with holes in the bottom made for grilling veggis. And I added a sprinkle of garlic powder. It was incredible. My two year old who won't normally touch veggis inhaled them. DH, DS and I ate two pounds and wished we'd made more. This will be our go to asparagus recipe.
Is it possible to overdose on this dish? I think I ate 15 spears on the first round and about that many the second time I made it. This was a HUGE hit and I really enjoyed the fast, easy prep and the quick grilling. Thanks Charlotte...this is one GREAT recipe! I did put ours in a ziploc bag with the olive oil and salt for several minutes flipping it over a couple of times to completely coat it and I added a small "pinch" of garlic powder on the second batch.
Wonderful. We made these to go with our grilled steaks. I have always roasted the asparagus but never grilled. We loved it. Thank you for sharing with us.
My first time ever making asparagus on the grill and it was so easy and the flavor was out of this world. Thank You for sharing!
Easy, fantastic and delicious. I washed the veg, tossed it in EVOO then hit it with a little salt and fresh ground pepper and grilled for about 4 minutes. This was the first time I have ever grilled asparagus and loved it.
This is very good. I used kosher salt and I did not use pepper. I usually roast my asparagus in the oven just like this, but it is just as good on the grill. I grilled for about 6 minutes.
Super easy and tasted great. I like that I can throw this on the grill with whatever carcass I am cooking! My husband cooked it far longer than stated and it was still good.
Simplicity at its best! Thank you.
