Excellent! My picture's a tad blurred. It's an action shot.
This is delicious! I made this for use in a recipe for chicken sloppy joes, and since I only needed 1 Tbs, I didn't really measure, just eyeballed it. The flavor is wonderful. I will have to try this on some more things in the summer when we fire up the grill.
This is really good and much cheaper than buying it ready made! Thanks!
this is really really really good.... I did use a wee little less salt thank you for sharing it UPDATE 7/9/09 made again as stated EXCEPT for : I added 1Tablespoon of Mc Cormick smokehouse pepper and 2 corse ground black.. gave it a little bit of something extra...good on my broiled steak last night
Good stuff! I used this for Oven Fries (Oven Fries W/Cheddar-Horseradish Dipping Sauce). Turned out Great!
This is a good seasoning mix. I did substitue Mrs. Dash for the salt to cut down on the sodium and with the extra seasonings it added to the mix.
Like the chef who posted, I would still prefer this to the McCormick, as it still has partially hydrogenated oil, which is unhealthy according to many doctors and studies. While it is hard to eliminate all of this from one's eating, this is easy to make as posted and has no "bad" fats.
I don't know about all grill seasoning brands but McCormick Montreal Steak has no MSG or "nasty" things. It's made of salt, spices(including black pepper, dill seed, coriander seed and red pepper)partially hydrogenated soybean oil and extractives of dill and paprika. McCormick has many seasoning blends none of which have MSG and quite a few have no salt at all.
