this makes about 6 pints and is a good way to use the last of the garden green tomatoes

This is so good! My mother used to make this often and it is the only type of Mince Meat pie I like. Yummy!!!

  1. place all ingredients in a large kettle or dutch oven.
  2. bring to a boil.
  3. reduce heat and simmer until thickened or mincemeat reaches desired consistency.
  4. pack hot into hot jars.leaving 1/2" headspace.
  5. adjust caps.
  6. process for 25 minutes in a boiling water bath.
