Green Tea Cookies

If you like the taste and the bitterness of green tea, please don't be afraid to add the whole 1/4 cup or even more! The dough will turn green, not too sweet, yum!

I made these cookies except for the weird add-ins [chocolate, white chocolate, macadamias] which I don't think belong in a recipe that features the taste of green tea. I would never add brown sugar again either. The batter smelled like green tea, but the brown sugar and excessive sugar--period--overwhelmed the tea taste and I have to say they were not what I wanted or expected and I would say no brown sugar, and no choclate add-ins which absolutely would ruin these even further. If I want chocolate chip cookies I'll make chocolate chips. Not good results following this recipe.
