Luv these! Tried to learn how to make these from my mom, but she kept on telling me to wing it. She makes them really good (her cooking is mostly guess work). Now I can make them successful (guess work for cooking never worked for me)

I made them for New Years Eve & they were wonderful!!! I have given this recipe to family & friends. Definatly a make again!

I liked the flavor of these little treats. I was afraid that the combination of flour, salt and water would make paste rather than dough, but to my surprise it made a nice dough. The instructions were clear. My only problem was that the texture of the cooked cakes turned out very chewy. I'm not sure if they were supposed to be that way or if I did something wrong.
