  1. I made this for a family gathering and it was a huge hit! I added extra hot sauce since we like things with more of a kick.

  2. This is very good cheese ball we all enjoyed the flavor the green chillies gave it. I used cheddar cheese and used more than one cup. Also I drained the chillies well before adding. The cheese ball was still very moist when I made it but after being in the fridge for awhile it was perfect. I used green onions and didnt add any extra salt as I found it didnt need it. Thanks for sharing this recipe, one I will be making again. Made for the "prop it up" event in the photo forum.

  3. This is really good and so easy too! I used low-fat cream cheese and used dried onion flakes (out of onions) and skipped the hot sauce. I think you can add more heat/less heat by the green chilies you use -- we used medium - which was perfect for us! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Gingerbear this was wonderful! I took it to work this afternoon and it was a hit! The only change I made was to use fresh anaheim chilis. I was making green chili so I just roasted a few extra for the cheese ball. The flavor was wonderful, the heat was just right - enough to know it was there but not so much to overpower the wonderful green chili flavor. I'll be making this again! Ok, I made it again for a Christmas party. I shaped it into a tree, sprinkled it with snipped fresh parley, and decorated it with sweet red pepper and pine nuts. Very cute!

  5. Sorry, Secret, but this was actually blander than I thought it would be. It needed something like ancho powder or hot sauce or something to liven it up a bit. With the amount of cheese to spices, it just wasn't as assertive as we'd hoped.

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 11 years now. We live on 40 acres and have 6 dogs and 4 Tennessee Walkers. We both work a lot of hours so there is never enough time in a day to get everything done. I absolutely love the outdoors. I also enjoy lifting weights, reading and playing with all of my beautiful animals. I absolutely love, love and love to cook. I like to cook a variety of things and also like love to bake. I like to just get in the kitchen and experiment with different things. If something does not turn out for me such as pie crust or gravy I will keep trying until I can make it work. Only problem is, when I finally make it work it may not work again the time after that. It is fun though and I do consider myself a pretty good cook for the most part. I also love slow cooker recipes. Those are my most favorite in the winter months.
