Made for PAC 2012. What a delicious side dish! And the flavours were so different from what I'm used to with green beans!! I could not find hazels, and used walnuts, like Elisechristiane did. This was a lovely side with a roast chicken, roast sweet peppers, red onion slivers and potato wedges. Thanks, will make this again!!
This recipe is good enough for Thanksgiving and Christmas when only the best comes out. It made a great side with tonight's roast. The hazel nut/green bean combo is a true pleasure. A keeper for sure. Made for PAC, Spring 2014.
Love these beans! The shallots and balsamic vinegar give the beans a wonderfully savory flavor, without being too tart. Will make again often!
