This is a recipe I saved from Ediets. I have found that I prefer a little sea salt, fresh ground pepper and splenda mixed with the sauce, but the original recipe did not call for it. I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Rinse and snap beans.
  2. Mince garlic.
  3. Mix garlic, vinegar and olive oil and set aside.
  4. Steam beans until tender but firm, approximately 10-15 minutues.
  5. Toss with balsamic vinegar dressing.
  6. Can be refrigerated and served cold.

I made this as is (except for scaling back on the oil to about 1/2 tsp) with frozen beans. I thought it was great! It gave a nice tangy flavour the the beans, while being fairly subtle. I do think the additions of the salt, pepper and splenda would have been great too..I may try this next time! Thanks Bobtail!

We did enjoy these beans, Bobtail! Had to scale back a little on the amounts, as it was just my Husband and I for dinner. I added a bit of salt and pepper as you suggested and might even try the sugar idea next time. :)
