    Directions:

      Bring about 2 cm of lightly salted water to the boil in a medium-size saucepan. Add the trimmed beans and cook, covered, for 8 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain in a colander.

      In the same saucepan, melt the butter and cook the onion over low heat for one minute.
    3. 3
      Return the beans to the saucepan, add the sour cream and paprika, and stir together. Heat the mixture gently. but do not let it boil or the sauce will curdle.

      Serve!

      Wow!!! What a wonderful way to prepare green beans. This is a very rich and tasty dish. To me, this is a perfect side dish to serve with along side of grilled chicken kebabs, yum!! My DH isn't a fan of fresh green beans, so I did sub canned cut green beans, otherwise followed as written. Thanks for sharing the recipe! Made for Please Review My Recipe Tag Game.

      I wanted to use fresh green beans but DH didnt have any luck finding nice ones at the grocery store. Instead I used canned green beans that I drained and did not have to keep them on the heat long to warm thru so that worked well with the sour cream. Great flavor and so easy and quick to make. Will be making this recipe again as soon as we find some good looking fresh green beans. Made and reviewed for PAC Spring 2013.

      Yummy, easy green beans! I used real butter and light sour cream and they were very tasty! I don't think I will try to reheat leftovers but just bring them to room temperature to not curdle the sour cream. Thanks Karen Elizabeth for sharing! Made for Spring 2013 Photo Tag
