This is a great way to serve green beans! We loved the mix of cheese and spices with the milk. I had slices of swiss cheese, so used that instead of grated cheese. Thanks Susie!

What a tasty sauce!! I made the mistake of trying to rush this recipe through and didn't allow the sauce to thicken quite as much as I should have. I used a little less than 1lb fresh green beans and sliced swiss cheese instead of grated...we'll be sure to work this into our regular rotation.

As my oldest son ate these, he looked at me and said, "These aren't green beans, are they?" He'll eat (tolerate) green beans, but they aren't his favorite veggie..... except today they were! Everyone gobbled them up. It's not the usual "mushy" green bean casserole. I'll certainly make this again. Thanx for shring.

I loved these! Green beans are my favorite vegetable and I'm always looking for new ways to fix them. This is a delicious and easy way! I used half-and-half in place of the evaporated milk because that's what I had on hand. The Swiss cheese is a really tasty addition. I never thought of adding it, but I'm glad I found this recipe. Thanks, SusieQusie.

Had a hard time finding nice green beans locally, but finally picked up some at a local Farmers' Market [need to go there more often!]. I might, another time, use less swiss cheese, but that in no way detracted from the final result ~ this is a great way to dress up my usually otherwise plain green beans! Thanks so much for the recipe!
