This made a great appetizer at a recent get-together with friends. It was very well received, despite the fact that I accidentally bought fat free feta (yikes!). i just added lots of extra olives and hoped for the best, and it came out just fine! I considered throwing on some halved grape tomatoes that I needed to use up but decided against it; in the future I think that would make a fine addition. Thanks so much for posting. Made for Went to Market tag.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons all purpose Greek seasoning
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 (4 ounce) package , tomato-basil or 1 (4 ounce) packageplain feta cheese
  • 1 (2 1/4 ounce) can sliced ripe olives, drained
  • 12 cup drained chopped pepperoncini pepper

Directions

  1. Combine first three ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  2. Slice bread loaf in half lengthwise.
  3. Spread cream cheese mixture on cut sides of bread.
  4. Sprinkle feta cheese, olives, and peppers over cream cheese mixture.
  5. Place bread on an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
