Greatest Banana Nut Bread Ever

"This is the best banana nut bread ever. The crusty top and moist center is heavenly. I'll never make any but this. I make it and give it out at Christmas as mini loafs to all my neighbors and friends. Everyone raves about it. You have to try it."

  1. Very moist banana nut bread! I cooked mine a little longer as it was still quite raw in the middle. This made two loaves, which was great since I needed to share one.

  2. This recipe wasn't great. It was very flavorless. I followed the recipe exactly. The raw batter tasted amazing but the flavor disappeared after baking. Very disappointed ??

  3. This was probably the best banana nut bread I have ever had. I followed the recipe almost exactly, leaving out the cinnamon. My bag of chopped pecans was 2 cups so I just used the whole bag. One technique I used which was quite effective was instead of butter and flour in the pan I cut a piece of parchment paper and just sprayed it with a bit of oil. I cut the piece longer so that the edges of it hung over the pan. Think of it as a sling. When done I was able to just lift the loaf with no worry of it sticking to the pan. Like many other reviews I found that I had to add on a good 10 - 15 minutes cooking time before the toothpick came out clean. This was fairly EZ to make. This recipe hits all the marks for flavor, texture and moistness. I recommend it with enthusiasm!
