I made this last night with only two small changes: cilantro instead of parsley (because I prefer the taste), and used 1/2 tbsp white sugar instead of brown (because I didn't have any). However, it didn't turn out too well. I don't know if I just had extra sweet cabbage and/or tomatoes, but I felt that this ended up being way too sweet for a soup, at least for my taste. I also thought it could use more beans and possibly some broth because it turned out to have more of a goulash texture (really chunky) instead of a soup or stew.

This is a great recipe. I usually have most of the ingredients on hand and it was very quick to throw together. I used a spicy chicken link sausage, and instead of cabbage, I added celery and spinach. So satisfying and healthy. I will definitely make this again - thanks!

Left out the cabbage due to personal preference so this was more of a soup than a stew, but that's how I like my beans anyway. Great combo of flavors! This one is a keeper! Made for Spring 2010 PAC. You've been adopted!!!

Wonderful dish, very tasty and easy to prepare. I made the recipe as written, except I used 1/2 lb of Turkey Sausage, in place of the lb of bulk sausage. I used theWeightWatchers recipe builderto calulate the Points and it came up to 3 points per 10 oz serving. Recipe made 7 servings of 10 ozs (scaled). I will be making this recipe often as part of my WW plan. Thanks Sorry I forgot to give it any stars yesterday. It is a 5 star recipe in my opinion and my husband agrees.
