This is the holiday tradition in my family! We never ever stuff the bird and make this dressing instead. We roll it into balls and bake them and get this amazing crunchy crust on the outsides! If you don't like sage, this is probably not the side dish for you though...

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (8 ounce) package herb salad dressing
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cornbread, dressing
  • salt (to taste)
  • 12 lb mild sausage
  • 14 cup melted butter
  • 2 sticks celery
  • 2 tablespoons sage

  1. Mix all ingredients together by hand, adding hot water if necessary.
  2. Roll into balls about the size of your palm, placing in a 9x13 pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-75 minutes.
