  1. Mix corn syrup, sugar and peanut butter in large microwavable bowl.
  2. Microwave on high 2 minutes or just until mixture boils, stirring every minute.
  3. Add cereal; toss to coat well.
  4. Press firmly into foil-lined 13x9-inch baking pan which has been lightly sprayed with no stick cooking spray, cool.
  5. Cut into bars.
  6. Stove-top directions: Bring corn syrup, sugar and peanut butter to boil In saucepan on low heat, stirring occasionally.
  7. Pour over cereal In bowl; toss to coat well, continue as directed.

These bars are very good. I only used 7/8 cup of sugar and of corn syrup because I don't like things as sweet as most people do. The bars were still very stiff when cooled and too sweet for my taste. Next time I will try 2/3 cup of both sugar and corn syrup. The peanut butter gives them a wonderful flavor. Pat

I had bought some Grape Nuts and found out that I am not a fan. Looked for a recipe to use them up. Although my expectation were not high considering I already knew I didn't care for the main ingredient. I have to say, while DD didn't care for them, DH and I were both pleasantly surprised!

These are great. It's a great way to get rid of extra ingredients you have laying around. I added coconut and sliced almonds.
