Freezer Jam


  1. Measure fruit into large bowl.
  2. Measure sugar into medium bowl.
  3. Stir sugar into fruit.
  4. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir occasionally.
  6. Stir Sure Jell into 3/4 cups water in small pan.
  7. Bring this mixture to a boil on high heat stirring constantly.
  8. Boil and stir for 1 minute.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Stir Sure Jell mixture into fruit.
  11. Stir constantly until sugar is completely dissolved and no longer grainy (about 3 minutes).
  12. Pour quickly into clean plastic containers to within 1/2 inch of tops.
  13. Wipe off top edges of containers.
  14. Cover with lids.
  15. Let stand to room temp.
  16. Then store in fridge for immediate use or Freezer for up to 1 year.
  17. Thaw in fridge.

Jam turned out very tart, even with that much sugar. Turned out more like preserves with chunks of the grape husk. For the next batch I put it in the blender, better but still not great. Maybe it was just my bunch?
