- 100 g rolled oats
- 25 g wheat germ
- 20 g coconut
- 25 g walnuts (Chopped)
- 20 g sunflower seeds
- 15 g sesame seeds
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 35 g brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 3 tablespoons sunflower oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
directions
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Mix first 7 ingredients together. Add the oil to the mixture and blend thoroughly. Mix the brown sugar and hot water together and microwave for 1 minute to make sure the sugar is melted. Then add the vanilla and salt to the brown sugar mixture. Pour over the oats mixture and blend thoroughly.
- Evenly spread the mixture on to a cookie tray or jelly roll pan and bake for 50 minutes. Check the granola after 20 minutes and mix it around with a spatula. Continue baking for another 30 minutes. Let it cool completely before storing.
