ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb butter (creamy)
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
directions
- Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add the flour and mix well.
- Add vanilla stir and pour into a bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

Made this GREAT POUND CAKE as directed, & had a wonderful taste treat as just plain ol' cake ~ Also very nice when topped with some homemade peach sauce! A very simple recipe that takes no time at all to whip up, & I like to think of it as making 16 servings, 'cause then it makes all those 'Nutrition Facts' look so much more appealing! I grew up in the south eastern area of the United States of America. Having four children in the family and being a tad bit on the poor side, my family didn't eat at restaurants much, so one of the best things that I learned to do was to cook.
