Grandpa's Cheese Spread

I grew up eating this on toast, bread, crackers. I love love love it. It takes quite a while to mix up but so worth it. I have made this but don't know how much exactly it makes <Yikes> Sorry.

I just had to rate this recipe. I grew up watching my mother eat this spread and later my older sister always made it also. Later I found out that this was my Grandpa Mitchell's recipe!! I am smiling at the thought that someone else's grandfather loved this recipe too. It is SO good!! My kids fight over it! My family always makes it with a combination of swiss cheese and mild or sharp longhorn cheese, 1 small jar of pimento (with the juice) and enough mayo to moisten. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe kzbhansen!! You made my day! :-)


  1. Make sure that the cheese is cold as this makes it much easier to mix and won't get stuck in the blades.
  2. Mix all ingredients really well and store in a jar.
  3. Refrigerate before serving.
