Outstanding recipe for those of us who like our buttermilk pancakes just a bit thinner and more tender than the ultra-thick spongy pancakes that seem to be industry standard. They are so tender and rich that it makes flipping them just a bit more difficult, and the ample fat from the sour cream and butter means that even on the lowest heat they come out speckled, not the visually ideal golden brown. I'd still rather have a pancake that tastes great than looks great, so I'll stick with this one. God bless Grandmother Singleton!

Your dh's grandma's recipe is awesome. These pancakes were light, tender, fluffy and full of flavor. Quick and easy to make. I added some chunks of banana to the mix, because I was feeling like having banana pancakes, they worked excellently in the recipe. Thank you for sharing a recipe that I will make often. I love pancakes :) and these were wonderful with a little butter and powdered sugar.
