Nice cookie with a cup of tea. Grandma always had cookies and this is one of my favorites.

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add beaten egg.
  3. Add dry ingredients.
  4. Chill if necessary.
  5. Roll into balls.
  6. Roll balls in sesame seeds.
  7. Do not press down balls.
  8. Bake 350 for 8 to 10 minute.

YUMMMMY!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I was searching for something different and this recipe fit the bill! I used 1/2 shortening and 1/2 butter as I usually don't have luck with recipes with all butter. These cookies were light and delicate and simply wonderful. Thank you for sharing!!!!

These were great! I have always gotten these from a bakery at Christmas time. This was my first time making them and they turned out great! I may try a bit of baking powder next time to help them stand up a bit, but the taste was wonderful! Thanks!
