Grandma's Oatmeal Cookies

"I don't remember where I got this recipe. I tried it at Christmas & think it is one of the best oatmeal raisin cookies Ever! Crispy yet tender, not too sweet. I also like that you don't have to wait on butter to come to room temperature!"

Live in East Tennessee with a basset, Mr. Peabody a basset wannabe, Molly and 2 cats Percy & Mazda. I've been a social worker with mentally challenged adults for 20 years. I'm an avid birder & enjoy all of nature's critters-well maybe not yellow jackets. Love to cook & have used this site a bunch so thought I ought to speak up. As with many folks her I look at a recipe, use what I have on hand or tweak to my preferences and go from there.
